Some of them appear unused to any kind of movement, perhaps reflecting the "stiff", conventional society of the late 1950s. Notice also the ethnic origins of the audience. The representation of race and class in this video is particularly interesting. One wonders if Chubby did not dress in a jacket and tie he would have had the chance to perform on television! At first, with his teddy-boy hair-style one could mistake this African-American for being white.
